Prayer Bells
* Tibetan Bell and Dorje
The Prayer Bell is used in rituals to clear the mind of worldly matters and dispel stress and tension. The bell can be rung, struck like a gong or made to sing similarly to the Tibetan singing bowls with the dorje. The small brass bells are used in prayer ceremonies as well. The dorje is a symbol of enlightenment. The shape of the dorje symbolizes the two forms of truth, relative and absolute. The connection of the two truths in the middle is known as the sphere of actual reality. On the outer parts of the dorje, there are two discs that represent the five Buddha families, the five elements, and the five skandhas.

* Tingshas
Tingsha are cymbals which are used by people of the Tibetan Buddhist faith. These cymbals can be rung as part of rituals, ceremonies, and during prayer and meditation. Many non-Buddhists appreciate the sound of tingsha, and these special chimes are sometimes used to clear the air in a room or to focus people's minds.

Quote of the Month

“We are our form and our formlessness. We are both visible and invisible, and we need to honor our totality, not just what we can see and touch.”
